Austin Roberts; Elite Personal Trainier
I started my fitness journey as a high school athlete, which lead me to 4 more years of track and field in college. While in college I gravitated towards health, and exercise science based classes. I graduated with my bachelor degree in exercise science and a minor in health. After graduating I began personal training and continued to learn and expanded my education by becoming a certified personal trainer though the National Council On Strength & fitness, and National Exercise & Sports Trainers Association.
While training I found that many people exercise but few had a plan. As a trainer, I help people create plans and show them how to exercise in specific ways to achieve a long-term goal, with each workout intended to create progression and results.
While in Portland I also had the opportunity to coach track and field at Oregon Episcopal for 3 seasons. I worked primarily with sprint and jumpers, and as a coach I was able to work with groups and individual athletes to help improve on sport specific training.

The difference between exercise and training is that exercise is movement done for the effect you get out of it today. Training is when you exercise in specific ways to achieve a long term goal with each workout intended to create progression and results.
